Vegetable Samosas

Vegetable samosas are the most popular type which you can find everywhere. It usually has a filling made with spiced mashed potatoes, peas, and sometimes carrots or beans with various Indian spices like cumin, coriander, garam masala, & green chilies to give it great flavor. This type is just right for vegetarians! They often come with tangy tamarind or mint chutney for dipping.
Paneer Samosas

Paneer samosas are another yummy vegetarian choice! They’re filled with spiced paneer cheese mixed with peas and potatoes along with herbs and spices. The creamy paneer texture goes so well with the crispy pastry. Cheese lovers really enjoy these!
Sweet Samosas
Did you know there are sweet samosas too? These samosas have a filling made from sweet khoya (that’s milk solids!), nuts, & spices like cardamom. Sweet samosas can be a fun dessert option! They’re usually served during festivals or special times. There are also chocolate samosas which are coated with chocolate on top with inner fillings of coconut, cherries, chocolate sauce and dry fruits.
Spinach and Cheese Samosas
For something different, try spinach & cheese samosas! They are the ultimate mix of spinach with rich cheese, stuffed with sautéed spinach & either ricotta or mozzarella cheese, these have a unique taste & bright color too! It’s a sneaky way to get in some veggies while enjoying a tasty snack and also healthier version if baked or air-fried.
Chaat Samosas
Chaat samosas are super fun! They come topped with lots of things like yogurt, tamarind chutney, onion, and sev (those crispy noodles). This kind is all about fun textures—crunchy, creamy & tangy—great for those who want to enjoy everything together in one bite!
My Favorite Samosa
Even though all samosas are delightful, my favorite has to be the traditional vegetable samosa. I love its mix of flavours and how well the spiced potato filling matches the crispy outside. Plus, adding mint chutney gives it an extra refreshing bite! It’s perfect anytime snacks for the day.
